Theresa’s Vision
As the Ward 6 Council Member, I will advocate and work tirelessly for an effective and efficient city government benefiting all residents. A city government that strives to improve and enhance City services while being financially prudent will be one of my highest priorities. I will be an independent voice, acting and leading with strength and integrity, while listening to and understanding the constituent needs and requests.
Top Priorities
Advocate for continuous improvement of city management and responsible stewardship of $2.4 billion budget - transparent, efficient and effective
Enhance Public Safety - Fire and Police - decrease response times by increasing staffing numbers, pragmatically understand the impact that consequences of unhealthy choices (i.e. drug overdose , petty theft, defamation of property) have on fire and police efficiency and efficacy.
Effective care for the unhoused including mental health and substance abuse treatment programs, increase outreach to improve awareness of options to combat the causes of homelessness while helping individuals with their basic needs
Fix our roads - too many unsafe, poorly paved roads.
Focus on policymaking aimed at reducing income inequality and supporting economic growth
Revitalize public transportation - Make it safe for all riders and drivers, ensure that free fare passes and low fare passes are available for those in need
Focus on environmental issues to sustain healthy living in Tucson
Streamline the zoning and development process to increase affordable housing - focus on efficiency while supporting residents and neighborhoods
